QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Master's Degree, with a preference for a strong major in education, administration, or curriculum/instruction.
  • Preferred possession of a valid state administrator's certification.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of successful experience, comprising both classroom teaching and supervisory roles.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leadership and management.

           

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instructional Management involves a comprehensive oversight of the blended instructional program, encompassing tasks such as reviewing lesson plans, observing classroom teaching, analyzing assessment data, and providing educational leadership for improved student performance. Collaborating closely with Central Office Directors, it ensures the systematic planning, implementation, and evaluation of the blended curriculum to maximize student opportunities. This role also involves supervising response to intervention efforts, scheduling committee meetings, monitoring special education data, ensuring data accuracy, expediting requests, and supporting the school's mission to enhance student success through approved curriculum and staff development.

 

School/Organizational Climate: The role emphasizes the use of metric data to maintain student enrollment and attendance levels, actively recruiting students as needed. Creating a supportive campus atmosphere to enhance the teaching and learning experience is crucial. Collaboration with central office personnel, fellow directors, and contractors is important. Effective communication using metric data is highlighted, along with conflict resolution skills among staff, students, and parents. Developing activities for recognizing achievements, implementing a positive student discipline plan, and ensuring school codes of conduct are upheld are key responsibilities. The role also involves monitoring and improving student attendance, while providing comprehensive leadership across all aspects of the school and its programs.

 

Personnel Management & Internal Communications involves maintaining effective communication with the RMA Central Office, fostering teamwork, and ensuring compliance across all areas. This includes collaborating with Human Resources to handle staffing needs in accordance with EEO and Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines, from recruitment to management. The role also entails processing employee paperwork accurately, enforcing policies, and setting clear expectations for staff behavior and contributions. Additionally, it involves observing and documenting job performance, offering developmental supervision, and conducting performance evaluations for staff members.

 

Administration and Fiscal/Facilities Management: The role involves collaborating with various directors and offices to manage administrative, fiscal, and facilities aspects. This includes creating annual budgets for campuses based on program needs, enrollment estimates, and staffing requirements. Adherence to budget limits, accurate fiscal reporting, and alignment with Grants Policies are emphasized. Responsibilities encompass accurate financial record-keeping, audits, and cost-effective solutions. Required reports for enrollment, attendance, payroll, and budgets must be provided, and compliance with contracts, time cards, and inventory procedures is essential. Managing school site usage, maintenance, safety, transportation, and lunch program adherence is crucial, along with developing a comprehensive physical security plan.

 

Community Relations: involves facilitating effective communication within the school community. This includes organizing and documenting Advisory Board meetings, notifying parents about school board meetings, and enhancing the school's image through open engagement. This role also entails understanding community needs and garnering support for the school's mission. Collaboration with the Central Office to develop a marketing-driven plan for student involvement and engagement is important, involving outreach, program enhancements, and assistance in presentations. Moreover, maintaining connections with various community groups, such as probation departments and educational institutions, aims to position the school as a valuable resource within its cities. 

 

Professional Growth and Development: through activities aimed at enhancing leadership skills, utilizing insights from professional development programs, and staying updated with educational practices. It highlights the importance of engaging with staff, students, and the community to gather suggestions for ongoing self-improvement. Being a positive role model is stressed, involving professionalism, respect for the dignity of all individuals, and adherence to relevant laws, policies, guidelines, and ethical standards.
