GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:        

  • An associate’s degree or higher
  • Prior experience with records collections
  • Prior experience with special education processes
  • A proven ability to work in a polite and friendly manner with a variety of constituencies including parents, students, and staff.
  • Ability to effectively educate and manage students from varying backgrounds and socio-economic levels.
  • Experience in effectively handling conflict.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable. 

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for special education student records collections
  • Uploads student records to Ascender/SIS and Frontline/eSped as required
  • Schedules 30 day and annual ARD meetings
  • Notifies all participants of schedules ARD meetings via emails and written notices
  • Assists with coordination of weekly special education team meetings
  • Attends special education student staffing meetings
  • Provides weekly reports to Special Education Director
  • Obtains parental consents as required
  • Assists LSSP’s and Diagnosticians as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

NORMAL WORKING HOURS AND DAYS:

  • Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.
